Introduction- Welcome to the PT3 Grant's Video Integration Boot Camp. This course is being offered as part of the San Francisco Unified School District's  Summer Technology Leadership Institute. In a collaborative effort between the District's Curriculum Improvement and Professional Development offices and San Francisco State's Instructional Technologies Department, this and other courses have been specifically designed for San Francisco teachers to enhance the use of technology in their instruction.

Over the next five days we will explore the aspects of video pre-production, production, and post-production. Using a project-based learning approach to the class, participants will have the time to fully develop and design several short video projects. Direct instruction will be followed by students working on their projects in small groups. Facilitator and group projects will be shown in class, followed by a discussion of the techniques used and issues that came up during production. Every session will end with a wrap-up of the skills learned, a preview of the next session, and a discussion of how the skills learned in the session can be applied in the classroom.
